"Its an alright game. It has its flaws (voice-acting, some graphical issues, character models), but if you put a bit of time and effort into it, the games shows its potential. The story gets quiet interesting and good.
Combat and character-development is pretty good. Especially the character-development is quiet extensive.

I had the game on my list for quiet a while. Is the game worth a shot of my money and time due to the bad reviews? I decided to jump the cold water... and so...

2 Star Rating A very poor cousin to most other RPGs
By: Joe, on March 17, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Didn't do it for me, I'm afraid. Repetitive, very small world of play. I tend to play the rpg games for the story rather than the hard fight gaming. The final boss (which I initially thought was the finale of the first bit of the game but turned out to be the end of the game itself), was ridiculously difficult (even in easy mode). I ended up watching the final sequence on youtube!

Clumsy feel to controls and fighting. Poor/weak weaponry even at level 24.

    A very poor cousin...

"I've been a fan of Dragon Age since day one, so I've been waiting for this release with bated breath for a looooooooong time :P And I can safely say it did NOT disappoint.
Character customisation has come a long way since Origins, and even DA2. You can edit the facial features right down to the definition of cheek bones. There are some pretty cool tutorials online that show you how to make an Arya Stark or Angelina Jolie's Maleficant (courtesy of now having the Qunari as a playable...

"Being a huge Borderlands fan, ever since the original game was released, I was justifiably excited to hear of a third game in the series.
After the seemingly interminable wait for the game's release however, does the game live up to my rather lofty expectations?
Read on and you shall find out.
Ok, first things first, in terms of timeline, this game is set between Borderlands and Borderlands 2 and basically chronicles Handsome Jack's or John's rise to power.
    I can't comment...

"I played Risen 2 in 2010 and whilst there were some problems, I soon fell in love with advancing my character and getting better weaponry and gear so I could charge in and save the fantasy version of the caribean from its foes. Magic, guns and swords come to the fore with each statistic requiring the gamer to work heavily on increasing the skills in order to get further and to be able to handle tougher monsters.

So when I had the chance to rejoin the world in this latest outing, I...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is a good game and I love the ideas behind it however I do feel like something was missing from it to make it a great game. I played it over a bored weekend where I spent most the day gaming and it took me the two days to complete it, the ending I felt was lacking and didn't really do much for me, the gameplay was fun and combat was easy to get the hang of, I wish there were more options for armour or even if there were armour classes so you could use light armours better for dagger...

"A new fantasy title that I had a lot of fun with. I loved the way that you had a certain amount of freedom in designing the character and with a few side missions to accompany the main acts, its something that will have the players glued to the console for a little while. I loved the storyline, the inventiveness of the world and of course the fact that they’ve brought explosives in (which in fantasy books is a huge trend right now.)

3 Star Rating Not bad but room for improvement
By: Mr. B. Crampton, on May 15, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"It's a fairly decent RPG with some good character backgrounds which hold interest, however, there is simply not enough depth in the game on any level.

There are only 4 acts which take approximately 24 hours of game-play to crack (that's including side quests). The game play is extremely linear, the choices you make through dialogue have little effect on in game events, the game still goes through the same levels and events with only slight dialogue variance depending on which way you...

1 Star Rating Bound By Mediocrity
By: D. R. Silvester "Clandestine Knowledge Seeker", on May 14, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"An extremely poor offering that might have been passable in 1996 but by 2014 standards don't waste your money or pick it up for a tenner. Don't get stung paying full price like I did.

Here are my reasons for such a low rating:

Combat is repetitive, consisting of hit then block then block again, rinse and repeat and that's it. Combat doesn't change irrespective of what weapon you equip. You can't dodge or roll out of the way. So timing and skill are out of the window in...

"This game was to be honest poor. It was a RPG that took a day to complete. WOW. It was short and not so sweet. Graphics were sub par. Game play was sub par. The game recycled enemies constantly with about a dozen or so including boss fights. The battle system was average at best. You get a feeling they were told half way through making the game...........Sorry boys we need to pack it in and ship the product. Really would not recommend it. No character interactions by far. 4 Star Rating Decent so far.
By: Steven, on May 10, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I have only played a few hours so far, so this is not quite a final review, but more of a guideline for anyone looking at the game.
The game is pretty fast paced, like a LotR game, but can be pretty punishing if you don't defend.
So, it is pretty challenging. There's a skill tree that's pretty simple to understand. Level up and put points in whatever build you are aiming for.
The graphics are a bit strange. Some things look fantastic where others do not.
    Overall, pretty good...

By: Nrbrister, on May 10, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Bound by flame is difficult to rate because there are so many good things in this game, unfortunately it also has a lot of bad things.

To begin with, the main issue I had with this game was how slow the beginning was and really not interesting. I thought I would quit after 10 minutes of gameplay because I was not involved enough. The customisation of the character is limited, there are like five faces and five hair styles and the player cannot alter anything in the face, not even the...

4 Star Rating Spiders best game so far.
    By: J. Morgan, on May 9, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"It's hard, lets get that out the way first. If it's your first Spiders game, then play on the easiest level until you get the hang of it. On the hardest you can be 1 or 2 shotted in the prologue ! You need a good grasp on timing and positioning before that.

The combat system is nicely balanced between a heavy style and a fast dagger style. In addition you have a kick which can be used to create gaps or gain space. There is also fire magic which opens up not far into the story.
    It...

4 Star Rating Solid rpg,but not without its flaws.
By: Runeweaver, on May 9, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Spiders are a small developer so your not gonna get a Triple A title, so if you want perfection move along.

Now if you want something of a rough diamond, with solid combat, solid music score and lots of replayability, then this is a title you wanna try, the combat system works very well either wielding a double handed weapon and beating your enemy into the group,or dual wielding daggers and slicing them to pieces, you switch between the two as each has their benefits and flaws...
