5 Star Rating Best Fallout game
By: Matei Relenschi, on November 15, 2017
    Pros:
    Cons:

"In my opinion, of course, Fallout 3 is the best Fallout game I've played. I know New Vegas resonated with some people more, but Fallout 3 is the first like, 3D video game i've ever played and it has a special place in my heart. Replayed it countless times and the Game of the Year edition provides me with the full game and all DLCs ever released for it. So, great bundle for a great price and awesome game. Worth a shot even if you're not into the Fallout universe.

"There is a huge amount right with this, but also quite a lot wrong.

I have sunk a HUGE amount of hours into this game since launch and so feel confident to give it a proper review. It has split the Fallout community pretty much in two.
Personally, as a fan of Fallout 3, I have absolutely loved Fallout 4. However, I can understand people's complaints that it is "not a Fallout game" - Fallout is about player choices, and the way you behave directly impacts the game World...

By: I Slay Nintendo Fanboys, on January 7, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game has froze my PS3 relatively frequently and has been prone to odd graphical glitches (such as doctors 360ing through the ground while speaking and proceeding to elegantly hover through walls, and at times there seems to be vortexes breaking surrounding textures and the sky) and frame-rate drops over the 50 or so hours I've played it ... so far. However, you usually experience these problems when you've played the game for around 5 hours, and your console is begging for you to give it a...

By: Christopher J. Cowen, on June 12, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Fallout 3: Game Of The Year Edition is one of the greatest games ever created. The company behind it is Bethesda, who is headquartered in Bethesda, Maryland, i.e. the name. The game takes place in the DC region so the developers have a high degree of realization of how things look within DC and the surrounding area.

The game is amazing and with the game of the year edition you get an amazing amount of content, I would say at least 200 hours of gameplay. So if you like RPG's this game...

By: Nik Oliver, on January 16, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Fallout 3 is a fantastic game. It really sets the atmosphere of a post apocalyptic environment with all the different terrain, locations, people and monsters scattered around the Wastelands.

The game is absolutely rammed full of content. There's over 250 locations to discover on a huge map but along with this, you get all 4 DLCs which add even more content, places, monsters, levels, weapons and more giving over 100+ hours play time.

Running this on a PC at max settings...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Fallout 3 is a game I have loved since it was first released, I have owned the original game and the goty edition multiple times. I recommend that anyone who likes skyrim or any other elder scrolls game buy this game immediately! You will not regret it. Like many other Bethesda games on ps3, fallout 3 doesn't perform amazingly, I think that that is forgivable though because of how great the game actually is.

WARNING!!! THIS GAME IS HIGHLY ADDICTIVE!!! ONLY BUY THIS GAME IF YOU ARE...

3 Star Rating An underwhelming performance
By: The Last Light User, on April 25, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Fallout New Vegas is a game developed by Obsidian Entertainment and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is an RPG based in a post apocalyptic-world in and around the area of Las Vegas Nevada. You play as a `courier' who after being shot in the head in the opening cinematic by an assailant in a chequered suit and buried alive - awaken to the town of Goodsprings. It is here that you must discover where your assailant went and what he has done with the mysterious platinum chip which you were...

[For those like me, who bought this game despite owning the original, in order to start afresh with the DLC]

Make sure you insert the 2nd disc first (DLC content). This will load onto your harddrive and then from that point on, just use the normal play disc (disc 1). I was 2 hours into playing the disc 1 until I realised my mistake. This is FYI just in case you are wanting to begin your New Vegas adventures anew, starting off with things such as the 'sturdy...

5 Star Rating A great, great game...
    By: M. Sowden, on July 5, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I bought this even though I had the original version as its cheaper than buying all the add-ons. Read the advice at the bottom if you want to avoid/minimise the lagging and loading time issues. I have played both this and Fallout 3 for about 100 hours each and I have to say this is better. The main quest is shorter but there's a lot more side quests and the weapon modding feature really adds some depth. Overall a fantastic game. Right now for the advice (I found this on a forum after tearing my...

Ive gamed since the days of the spectrum, commodore 64 and origional atari.Im 32 and ive seen more games than alot of people and i know what i like. fallout 3 was a game i felt was not for me.I was one of those people that just couldnt get into oblivion so i left fallout 3 thinking adding guns just wouldnt do it for me.I recently borrowed F3 again and hated the slow start and the poor graphics and dull gameplay so i left it for...

5 Star Rating Your life will end
By: Wilson SP, on February 25, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"To put it simply, as the title suggests, when you buy this game you will no longer have a life. From the very moment you load this game, you will be completly absorbed into the world around you.

The game is set within the post apocalyptic ruins of Washington DC and its immediate surrounding area. Travel through the world and you can find iconic locations such as the Lincoln memorial, natural history museum and you can even find a heavily irradiated piece of the white house...

4 Star Rating Brilliant game - beware the time sink though
    By: SpannerPoint2, on September 12, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Utterly brilliant, this game is huge and varied with lots of scope to lose days just running around exploring. I have the GOYE version with all 5 DLC packs, and I ended up putting well over 100 hours into this game - for the price, you can't ask for more longevity - especially as that was just playthrough one as a good guy; I still plan on going back and playing as a git too!

Overall this game is wonderful but be warned that graphically it looks a little dated now when compared to...

"Let me make one thing clear to begin with; I'm not actually the biggest Fallout 3 fan, but felt compelled to write something to offer a little balance in lieu of the pathetic one star review currently written.

Basically, for those who haven't played it, Fallout 3 takes place a couple of hundred years in the future after a nuclear war, and you follow your dad out of the relative safety of underground sanctuary Vault 101 after he goes missing. The game takes place in 'Capital...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"It's not often I give five stars to a game, but Fallout 3 deserves them all. It's a remarkable achievement, and a totally immersive experience. It's a huge game, although you might find the story is not the real meat of the gameplay here because ( a bit like in Grand Theft Auto 3 and its successors) you can spend so much time wandering around the game universe just doing whatever takes your fancy, that the actual plot almost comes in second place.

The game puts your character into...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Firstly, the standard game alone will provide hours of entertainment. It's one of my all time favourite games and will probably be yours too once you get into it. To sum it up Fallout 3 is set 2277, in a post apocalyptic wasteland (US and China went to war) where mankind is struggling to survive. You have lived in a vault all your life, and its been closed for 200 years. But your dad opens the vault and mysteriously disappears -- this is when you go out into the wasteland in search for him. By: M. James, on October 16, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

"For those of you having an issue with the second DVD (i.e., it won't run at all) there's a fix going around on the Bethesda forums. It seems to be a problem for Vista users only. The fix is pretty simple; disable Autoplay by going to the Control Panel and deselecting Autoplay everything (you can turn this on again later). Next, disable the UAC (also in the Control Panel under User Accounts; this will need a restart). Finally, put the DVD in again, right click it and select Explore then...

The leveling up system is perfect allowing you to raise stats in different ways to create different style of character every time you play (or at least so far, Im on my 4th character)the perks in the game allow for some pretty interesting power ups, the original game had me playing for a solid 3 weeks of any spare time playing the game and Im looking forward to buying this as I've not actually got the dlc and I also don't own the...

"I'm now on my second playthrough of Bethesda's marvelous Fallout 3. The first go took around 40 hours to complete the storyline, and it was at this point that I looked at the huge map of the post-apocalyptic wasteland that my adventures had taken me through and realised that I'd barely scratched the surface of things to see and do. So I loaded in my most recent auto-save and went exploring again, and having just finished a mammoth 5 hour session exploring just one building (and getting...
