1 Star Rating I may be finally cured of my Football Manager addiction
By: Vernon T. Waldrip, on December 5, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I have spent (or 'wasted') a great deal of my life playing Football Manager or Championship Manager since the mid-90s, but that long run may have now come to an end. Football Manager 2014 is the worst in the history of the franchise and has gone massively backwards since the 2012 version.

As has become traditional, the first few weeks of owning this game are spent waiting for patches to rectify the many obvious bugs that somehow aren't worked out in advance. Does anybody actually...

2 Star Rating Fundamental flaws hold back a lot of potential
By: Sierra Erdinger, on December 18, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"There is huge promise in this game - many of the changes Sports Interactive have made are genuine improvements: a thoroughly enjoyable transfer deadline day simulator, a simpler training system, expanded yet more user-friendly staff roles and some graphical upgrades. The new classic mode is fine - not really my kind of thing but will probably suit some users. There are some new 'unlockables' which you can purchase from SI (like injecting your club with a bunch of transfer cash mid game) for...

1 Star Rating Less depth than a pancake
By: Mrs. H. C. Hill "written by her son", on December 22, 2008
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game is pretty poor. I purchased it in HMV, not having seen any reviews, on the basis that football management games are usually pretty good, having got football manager 2008. This game proved me wrong. I got home, and played it for about an hour. And then I was bored. You dont ever need to change your tactics, it practically gives you winning ones to start with, and isnt even updated with the right players. Then I wanted to sign players, because I thought it would be more fun than pressing...

5 Star Rating The best footie manager game in the world, just got better
    By: L. E. Stacey "lukestacey12", on October 24, 2005
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The most eagerley awaited Football Manager title of the year is finally upon us with FM 2006. For those of you who don't know this is the continuation of a title that first started in 1992 as the original Championship Manager created by Sports Interactive and published by Eidos. Sports Interactive and Eidos split in 2004. Eidos kept the CM name and SI kept its database and engine, hooking up with SEGA in the process. The first Football Manager game (2005)was a great success (as all the CM's...
