Pay for a FREE game,no thanks. By: Sea Skimmer, on January 31, 2018 Pros: Cons: "The game was listed as NEW at £29.99 but when i got it through the post and opened it up, it had a reduced to £11 sticker on the front of the plastic! Don't see why i should pay £29.99 for something that's meant to be £11. After a bit of digging i found out that this game is now FREE to download, which added insult to injury. Free or pay money for a game, i know which one i chose. So sent this back. |

Enjoyable By: Thomas Jones, on December 13, 2017 Pros: Cons: "Only played for a few weeks after release. It is a fun game with interesting combat, with abilities being based on weapon choice. It was also nice to be able to create a max level character specifically for PvP right of the bat, a feature a lot of other mmo games should incorporate. However the way zones scale makes you feel that your character isn't actually progressing. Also the way in which you can cast while moving made all combat styles feel pretty similar in a button mashing sort of style. |

THE EXPANDED TYRIA AWAITS YOU! By: Winchester Buyer, on September 3, 2016 Pros: Cons: |

A Worthy Purchase By: Amazon Customer, on June 8, 2016 Pros: Cons: "Great game, but buy the Heart of Thorns expansion as it includes the base game. I've easily spent 700+ hours on this, and although it uses the older DX9 graphics API (which makes it very CPU bottlenecked, expect 10~ fps in world boss fights) and is a bit grindy it's worth the price. |

Terrible value By: Sevrin, on December 30, 2015 Pros: Cons: "Gem card is terrible value for anyone who has a game acount. You can buy a larger number of gems for less using the in game interface. Only buy this product if you're buying for someone else and this is the only way to do it. |

Heart of Thorns is a pretty solid expansion By: Official Invision Community, on December 23, 2015 Pros: Cons: "I’ve always loved the idea of MMOs. I was a Runescape fan in my youth, and as I grew up I flitted between a variety of them; never paying, but playing for as long as I could before getting bored. Because of my financial situation at that age I never played the payed ones, so Guild Wars and WoW were out of my reach. Even now, I still shun subscriptions, and as such I decided to give GW2 a go about twelve months ago. Immediately, I loved it, getting to level 46 within a few... |

By: , on April 22, 2014 Pros: Cons: "Posted the price I bought so you can judge the quality of the deal. So far - having played a few hours of GW2 I have say I like it - your character levels weapons at a satisfying rate - giving you a nice variety of attacks. The 'events' is a nice idea - you'll be notified that something is happening near to you then you can run over and get involved and try to meet the goals within the time limit or before some fail-event happens (like the enemy blows up a bridge for... |

Mixed reviews By: Nym "Witch", on January 20, 2014 Pros: Cons: "In GW1 I was mostly a pve player that dabbled a little in pvp. The storyline was good and the pve element of the game was fun... it was goodly balanced and when the skills and classes expanded the introduction of hardmode helped to keep it good. GW2 I really struggle to enjoy the pve side of the game. It is stunningly beautiful and I like trying to climb up mountain peaks to enjoy the views beyond just the set vistas but the storyline just does not grab me. I found it difficult to... |

Guild Wars 2? Not really...[For veterans] By: Neko, on January 4, 2014 Pros: Cons: "If you are a player of the original Guild Wars you will either love or hate this game, as it is nothing like it. The only thing in common is a few skill names, profession names and some very loose lore. Guild Wars 2 is a game that tried to reinvent the wheel and forgot about their epic first game, and in doing so they made an al around casual game that you love because it's casual or you hate because it's not challenging at all. Most of us who play games like solo RPG's and MMO's play them for... |

Possibly the best Online MMORPG to Date By: C. M. Neary, on March 22, 2013 Pros: Cons: "If you are new to the genre or a seasoned MMO player, this game has everything that you would want from an online game. The graphics are simply stunning, the depth the design and meticulous attention to detail makes every turn a joy to behold. It's also obvious that the games designers have looked at every game out there in the MMO genre, and have studied the game play and simply made it smoother, more playable and fun. If you have ever wanted to be a cow, or throw one at your enemy, then this... |

Excellent gems option By: Bob "sargebobulus", on January 16, 2013 Pros: Cons: "This is an excellent product for those players of Guild Wars 2 who want to pick up some gems to spend in-game but don't have a credit card, or who simply don't wish to input their credit card details into the game. The Gem Card itself arrives sealed inside a plastic case with a tear off strip to reveal the numeric code, which can be entered by opening up the Gem Store in-game and clicking the "Redeem Code" button at the top left. Easy as pie and the gems are added to your account instantly. Not... |

Another MMORPG By: Deviltoe, on November 10, 2012 Pros: Cons: "Its not a bad game. Just doesn't seem as polished as you would expect of a game of 2012. Fairly limiting in abilities you can use and number of characters you can create, background stories don't really seem to do much. The lack of monthly bill is its biggest benefit. |

Very polished, very impressive By: Dancer, on August 28, 2012 Pros: Cons: "This is the most impressive game launch in years, and is likely to prove to be the second MMO to reach the stature of World of Warcraft. GAMEPLAY You should find yourself familiar with many of the game mechanics - generate a character, go questing, level up, join battlegrounds to play some PvP. No player should have any difficulty in getting into the game and having a good time. That said there are nuances that really polish up the playing experience and make it better than... |
