"I have never played a mortal kombat game before but recently i got into fighting games so i thought i would give this a try. It's the best fighting game i have ever played. The cutscenes in the story mode make it feel like an actual story mode not just one pointless fight after another.Seeing as i have never played it before i was a bit lost with the story at first but i got into it really fast.(its light hearted, dumb and self aware) Cool characters.I really liked the whole new young squad...

    Cons:

"I didn't buy this for the game - my reactions aren't fast enough for these sort of fighting games and my memory isn't good enough to remember all the key combos - so this package isn't about the game for me. Its about the figure. I've always enjoyed making, painting and collecting models, so I have a liking for these collectable 'special edition figures'.

The box is large, themed and nicely designed albeit a bit thin card. It contains the game, the figure, a steelcase, some...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"I'm not usually a fan of fighting games but I thought I'd give MKX a go as it looked a bit more grown up than some of the rival franchises in the genre . And am I glad that I did.

MKX is a thrill to play. The graphics are simply gorgeous, the characters are varied and interesting (unlike most of the steroid addict twats or scantily clad bimbos who feature in other fighting games) and the game just seems to be alive.

Story wise, the game takes you on a roller coaster block...

"OK, this is the first time I’ve played Mortal Kombat, my other fighting experience mainly comes from Tekken and whilst I feel like Tekken had become a little stale, I was more than intrigued about MK as I’ve seen a few of the filsm. So thinking that I had nothing to lose I picked it up and cracked on to see what all the hype was about.

By: Aidan Barnett, on April 22, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Mortal Kombat X is just pure bloody greatness. The controls have barely changed and are still easy to get the hang of almost immediately.

The game's new mechanic of picking a fighting style (or whatever it is) for each character is really quite good, and makes it fun! You can gain specific moves with each style and find out which suits you best! Surely will make online vary a lot more...

The only problem I have with this game is that sometimes the cutscenes during the...

4 Star Rating Well worth the purchase

    "♦ Introduction ♦

It's been quite some time since the last Mortal Kombat (MK9) came out in 2011. 'MK9' otherwise known as just 'Mortal Kombat', was probably my most favourite out of all the games within this franchise (I had been a fan since MK2 on the Sega Mega Drive).

It was one that truly delivered: It had a great cast of characters, the story reboot was awesome and the game mechanics were, well, fantastic!

'Mortal Kombat X' has had some very...

"Now i have had chance to plug a few hours into the most recent Mortal Kombat installation i feel like my review will do it justice. As most people that have ever owned a console will im sure at some point have played one of the many iterations of this game. I myself have thoroughly enjoyed the franchise thus far! Then MKX came out and with much anticipation and the long wait from pre-order to delivery have not been able to put this down. The game play and controls are essentially the same as...

    5 Star Rating Fatality
    By: M, on April 15, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

    "Good points:

Stunning graphics, as your fight progresses your character get bloodier and dirtier.
You can interact with the background, ie, use tree branches to either hit your oppent or jump on a wall to get away from them.
I haven't touch story mode really but so far it looks fantanstic.
Tower challenges are as fun as ever.
The fatalities look stunning aswell as the x Rays.
I haven't been online as there seems to be a few issues getting a match but...

    5 Star Rating "Fight!"
    By: M. Farley, on April 14, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game really feels like the culmination of all the other games come together. The game handles the same as ever, controls haven't changed much at all over the years which means it is very easy to pick up and play. Of course there is more depth to it than mere button bashing and the range of combos that can be carried out is better than ever. Each character now has 3 variants which are significantly different to each other and will encourage a huge amount of replay value learning all their...

5 Star Rating Finally Rockstar delivers a PC port worthy of their games
    By: A. Vasilciu, on April 14, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"First of I got digital edition(be aware its 50gb + DL). No steam but Rockstar social club. Which is surprisingly good. (no steam even if you get it via steam you still need rockstar club for online features).

First off I have a high end set up (8 core amd & msi GTX980 graphics card)

This looks very good & runs perfectly. The difference between this & previous shabby Rockstar ports is noticeable. Graphics are top notch.
No quick 360/ps3 port here. The game obviously is the...
