    4 Star Rating Interesting game
By: Bfamily, on May 18, 2016
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I got it from a different Amazon seller some time back, the PC version which I played on Windows 7 without any issues.
The game works fine with full resolution and performance on my notebook (ThinkPad T510 dedicated graphics card) which is good. In terms of price, I got it for ?2 which is very good.

    Pros:
    + Reasonable graphics
    + Good choice of weapons
+ Reminds me of the Cold War Crisis which is one of may favourite games
+ Much better AI then before

5 Star Rating success through tactics
By: VincentA, on September 4, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Despite being more "user-friendly" than the previous games Red River is still a very challenging game.
Unquestionably because success depends more on tactics than on aiming skills.
This has the potential to be frustrating, which it certainly is at times, but that comes with the territory.
The characters in your squad are often "politically incorrect"...but that is insignificant; they are tough and they are cool.
The graphics and environments still look very good...

5 Star Rating Slow paced co-op fun
By: XezNuT, on June 4, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is what you get when someone doesn't go for a Call of Duty clone. A slow tactical game with a credibel story. It's not the graphics or the physics that make this game, it's the challenging campain, the "realistic" setting and gun behavor, the tactical factor and the co-op. Gather some friends and the sence of acomplishement in the end is fantastic.
A brilliant game for a diferent "crowd".

3 Star Rating Codemasters going backwards
By: Ali Bridges, on May 29, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"To start with I'm a massive fan of FPS, COD as well as Bad Company and played the original Operation flashpoint when I was 13-14 nearly a decade ago and it seems to me that in Red River the developers have tried to bring the original strategy and game play back.

The first thing people will notice is the quality of the graphics. Not only compared to Dragon Rising but to any modern FPS. People said that Black Ops went backwards in respect to quality of graphics compared to MW2 but my...

3 Star Rating Good, but not Flashpoint.
By: J. Asbridge "johnny two dogs", on May 14, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is a good game, but it's more akin to a Rainbow Six or Ghost Recon than Flashpoint.
The original Flashpoint game had wooden dialogue, vehicles that bounced around and sounded terrible, some glitches and gremlins and it was fantastic! Purely because of the gameplay, the sheer vastness of possibilities to achieve your objective. Your Spec Ops team for example could detour via a Russian airfield and steal an attack helicopter to realise their goal instead of using stealth!

4 Star Rating No longer a simulation; its now a squad based shooter.
    By: M. Bhangal "S", on May 7, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The biggest difference between Dragon Rising and Red river is that Codemasters have moved away from simulation towards a squad based shooter; this game is much closer to Ghost Recon than ARMA and the Bohemia incarnations of Flashpoint. Interviews of the game's lead designer on Youtube (search on 'Sion Lenton Flashpoint') suggest that this was the aim.

The open world has been replaced by closely spaced waypoints, so you cannot go off and explore the world and neither can you attack...

5 Star Rating Homage to the original Ghost Recon?
By: Champiodi "Champiodi Pi", on April 23, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Dragon's Rising was a good game. Its Metacritic score of 7.5 confirmed this I'd agree with this score. I enjoyed the game but you could tell the thing was unfinished. Many complained about the enemy AI, but I'm a grown up and I can play a grown-ups game, the AI was not unbeatable and simply punished the player mistaking it for Call of Duty. It is the minimum the player should expect for such an insult.

However there were deep flaws. In co-op, team mates were unable to pick up enemy...

4 Star Rating Tactical shooter at last!!!!!
    By: Mr. D. P. Chaplin "(psn: dazza1971)", on October 12, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I love shooters of all kinds from Graw2 and UT3 to Cod4 and any other ganme with numbers in the title.
Graw was a personal favourite as you could think tactically about where and what you wanted your team to do.

Operation flashpoint is like that but on steroids. A real tactical shooter at last.

If you think your going to play this all guns blazing then you'll see the mission failed screen far too often. 1 shot kills you. Playing a mission requires patience and a...
