"A brilliant and very long awaited return. Kept the best bits of the original games and has awesome new features and operative styles that make it feel completely original. With Vegas 1 & 2 thrown in it's the perfect package.

    5 Star Rating Great game!
    By: M. Humphris, on January 23, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Love this game, much better controls and game play than previously - the games engine has been re-worked and tweaked. The story line is well thought out. The main HQ is an aircraft called Paladin where the Fourth Echelon are based - from here, there is an interactive map which you access to complete the missions. There is one main campaign mission which you can complete task after task, and there are also side ops which you can complete to gain cash and bonuses. Some of these are stealth with...

5 Star Rating New Mechanics, Classic Action
By: Amazon Customer, on October 4, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I've loved the Splinter Cell games since the first one on the original Xbox.

The last game (Conviction) had a great feature set but was lacking in that SC charm that the other games had. The emphasis seems to be on being a silent hunter than a sneaky agent.

That's changed in Blacklist. Big ol' terrorist threat. Sam Fisher (no longer voiced by Michael Ironside - so think of him as an alt-universe Sam Fisher...who is the head of a secret government agency, and looks and...

4 Star Rating Decent return to form
By: Chris "chrisgb", on October 3, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I decided to take a chance on this after the last two Splinter Cell titles turned out to be drivel, prised from the cold, dead hands of consolitis; for me, the series peaked and ended with Chaos Theory. Although lacking Michael Ironside's signature vocals, this is.....not that bad. There's a decent amount of gameplay on offer with Multiplayer, online Co-op, and single-player campaigns, and it's a good, modern title with some interesting spins. You have quite a lot of freedom to customise Sam...

3 Star Rating Game good but online game not so!
By: TRANCE MAN, on September 17, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I'm one of those guys who feel Splinter Cell is built for them, I've played them all! This PC version comes with 3 discs, however, you need to download the latest patch too (I think about 1.8GB) to iron out some of the bugs and glitches.

There are 3 options in how to play the game - stealth or assault or a combination of the two, however, you are sometimes forced to kill which I don't like myself, I always prefer non-lethal knockouts. You can still tag enemies like the previous game...

5 Star Rating At first good...now excellent!
    By: C. R. Buckley, on September 9, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I got the game free with my Nvidia graphics card, and the reason for this is that my KFA2 GeForce GTX 680 plays everything on ultra.

At first the controls were awkward but are easily changed in the settings and you have the option of a game controller or the keyboard and mouse which I use.

The uPlay system is terrible and quit me out of the game half way through the first level without warning to update. Not a bad thing that Ubisoft have prioritised in completing this...

    Cons:

    "so lets cover the items in the set first;

The watch, goodly designed, 4 button setting, really bright glow, the Tri-goggle design lights up excellently and depicts the green glow of the ones in game. made of rubber so its durable, also has the Tom clancy branding on the strap.

comic book, as always are a really cool read (if you like that sort of thing) wont go into detail because of spoilers.

the inner packaging is very good, and has very good graphic art with...

4 Star Rating Excellent-But could be more varied.
By: Arun Prathapan, on August 30, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Before I begin, I played the game on perfectionist difficulty with a minimal HUD as I felt this made the experience feel more immersive and realistic.
The game not only encourages you to be creative but at times demands it. Hiding in shadows is far less effective and enemies are much smarter IMO, they will find flanking routes if they find you and always keep sharp. For example, you might need to distract guards, disable lights and disable an isolated all in a very short space of time,...

5 Star Rating just timeless masterpiece!
By: Michal Wos "mikewos", on November 20, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Thanks to Ubisoft for upgrading this superb game (also two other amazing parts from the series "Pandora tomorrow" & "Chaos Theory") to be fully compatible with Vista and Win7! Unmissable game which you can play many times without getting bored. This title proves that you don't have to blow off everything to have fun ...but opposite, use brain & keep stealth, take your time & create perfect strategy. Pity that recent Splinter Cell titles moved far away from primary idea and got closer to many...

    By: A. Veres, on May 6, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game was something different when it came out, and it remains engaging today. This is probably due to the simple but effective mechanics that the game uses for sound and shadows. Keep your noise low and stay out of sight and you remain undetected. Become careless and things unravel. It doesn't stop there, though, as you can certainly amend your mistakes with a quick double-tap or neck break (classic Clancy). The story is riveting, too, and the game's structure is notably different to other...

By: Dan Craggs, on September 11, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

"As the other reviewer mentioned, I'd also seen that this game was a let-down. But, being a fan of the earlier games I gave it a go anyway. I figured that it would at least be playable, and I'd get my Splinter Cell fill. But wow, I was so wrong.

I got as far as the first level in my efforts. Sure, the game might have some interesting plot lines later on, but no game should have as much wrong in the first level as this one does. To begin with, I surfaced up through ice, watching a...

5 Star Rating Superb, realistic stealth adventure
By: Nick Bradley "nicky_b2", on August 20, 2006
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Welcome to 2007 and the end of the world. It is truly a frightening place where unseen tech terrorists are sending the US and North Korea headlong into WW3. Its a typically epic Clancy premise and best of all it plays out like a dark dream.

It wasn't always like this; when Pandora Tomorrow hit the shelves gamers felt more like victims of some great practical joke than omnipotent covert agents. There were high points; the jungles were cool and the online versus battles between spys...

    5 Star Rating Mission Impossible
    By: A reader, on October 14, 2005
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Life is hard for poor sam fisher. Over the course of this game he has died around 500 times.
Splinter Cell is a game I found to be highly immersive, stylish and most of all difficult. It took me the guts of 3 months but I finally completed the last level. Some high quality gameplay is on offer here. The AI for the guards is excellent, and all through the game you keep thinking, this is very good.
I loved Sams sense of humour, and though it took a long time to finish the game, the feeling...

5 Star Rating The classic shadow based stealth game.
By: Snake, on May 8, 2005
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is a true classic. You hide in the shadows and complete your mission without being detected. The lights in this game are beautifull, but they are your worst enemy. The graphics are far beyond what I expected from a game as old as this one.

5 Star Rating the best sc yet
By: Stephen Stein "asfm", on April 9, 2005
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Fans of Splinter Cell's past games will find that, while not offering anything particularly new to the franchise or genre, Chaos Theory is the most polished, technically impressive and enjoyable Splinter Cell yet. For those of you who don't know, Splinter Cell is a third person action stealth game, where you play an American covert government soldier called Sam Fisher.

5 Star Rating One of the best games ever?
By: KA M. May "kmay", on July 4, 2004
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Splinter cell is an excellent game where you are playing as a guy names Sam Fisher who is a splinter cell. What do you have 2 do? Basicly you have to find out about some guy who is very important and his body guards. He is running some stuff that could cause military outbreak and war. You have to stop this from happening. The levels are creepy and some of the levels it is just almost pure silent. You may suddenly hear someone and almost jump out of your skin! Also it wouldn't be a good idea to...

By: dr gas, on October 30, 2003
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game is a tense thrilling game of skill and fun. It is tactical and sometimes annoying but getting there in the end is always such a sense of acheivement. You will need to think hard and look after your bullets as much as you can, as well as how much alarms you have set off! You always have to keep a close eye on your health because the damage of bullets is extremely realistic. Splinter Cell is very good game for people who have been gaming for quite a while. It is rather expensive but very...

4 Star Rating Splinter Cell is an essential!!
    By: "yukin1085", on October 7, 2003
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Splinter Cell isn't like your ordinary shoot 'em up game, you don't go in guns blazing everytime you see an enemy walking about. This game is about stealth, and you get a wide array of equipment to use to help you get by, from optic wires to look under doors, blending in shadows to hide from the enemy, to using infra-red sensors to decode keypadded doors.
