the game itself was excellent. The battle system was simplistic By: Sam, on August 11, 2015 Pros: Cons: "While the storyline was a little short, the game itself was excellent. The battle system was simplistic, but there's a really good mix of people wandering about and a lot of different equipment you can get. The detail to the Akiba area is absolutely fantastic and looks completely believable and the stripping itself is more just hilarious than anything. It's a goofy game but its really fun and extremely well-designed, and it contains actual advertisements of actual shops in Akiba too... |

A very three star game. By: Jack, on March 2, 2015 Pros: Cons: "This game is a bit janky. Its hard to play, counter-intuitive and difficult to get to grips with. Despite that, it's incredibly charming and kinda funny. It's a difficult game to like, it left me kind of neutral. |

Updated Playstation 3 Version By: Graham, on February 15, 2015 Pros: Cons: "I bought this originally on the Playstation 3 when it was on sale on the PS Store. Now it's out on the Playstation 4 so what's the difference? A slight improvement on the graphics (which is very marginal) and also an improvement on the frame rate (which used to slow down at times on the Playstation 3) So what's this game all about? Well it's suppose to be about a certain kind of vampire etc etc.... However, you must 'strip' them of their clothes to kill them (sunlight on their bare skin is... |

then this is a brilliant game. You By: William, on November 20, 2014 Pros: Cons: "This game. THIS GAME. If you ignore the 'undressing' aspect of the game, and the fact that this was a sequel to a game in Japan revolving around a similar aspect, then this is a brilliant game. You, as the player, wander around a picturesque digital rendition of Japan's electronic district, and you can either attack random civilians and strip them down to their underwear, or partake in the plot. Which is a very standard plot, but still works very well. You are a... |

Charming Parody of the Otaku Subculture By: Arch Stanton, on October 26, 2014 Pros: Cons: "When I first heard the description of this game I did what most people will probably do: rolled my eyes and muttered "Only in Japan" under my breath. From the cover (with its surprisingly clever English wordplay; is it Akiba's Trip or Akiba Strip?) featuring a young girl stripped half naked it's easy to assume that this is just going to be yet another highly sexualized dating sim that somehow managed to make its way west. I'm not a fan of fan service. I find it offputting (these are after all... |

Wickedly funny. By: J. Morgan, on October 18, 2014 Pros: Cons: "I'm giving it this rating based on fun alone and nothing else. Although I will highlight some of the issues. The basic presmise of the game is that synthetic vampires are taking over Akiba and the only way to stop them is to expose most of their body to sunlight. This leads to lots of stripping of clothes, anime style "transformation" scenes and some quite detailed images. Other than that, its quite familar RPG stuff. You buy/find (by stripping) equipment, gain XP,do side... |

A unique anime-themed experience (Not just fanservice!) By: Zooz Buh "Anime-phile/gamer", on October 13, 2014 Pros: Cons: "GOOD POINTS: - Great cast of entertaining and likeable characters. - Solid localization, with fully-voiced dialogue and some great voice actors - Lots of places in Akihabara to explore, lots of weapons and gear to collect - Multiple endings to main story (similar to a dating sim), which adds replay value - Not "just" a beat-em-up, the stripping clothes mechanic adds a little challenge. (It's possible to level up and upgrade your stripping skill, which makes... |
