"Really very good game, absolutely fantastic. Massive shame that the frame rate is god awful, the lag is undeniably terrible and textures consistently failed to load. There is even a few secondly delay to open and close the ingame map?! Overall I would say very good game for next gen consoles. Do not bother with the PS3 version, it will not do the game any justice.

I feel like I'm playing the ps1 it's that bad. The glitches are crazy you fall through the floor, walls etc you get stuck in mid air on walls an orcs etc. War chiefs that you have killed stay on the map the list goes on wow it's bad now I know why it's cheap. It has some good points to terrible shame, don't buy this game!

"Do not buy this game for Xbo 360 or PS3.

I heard about this game when it came out, and heard good reviews about it. Problem is, the people reviewing it were playing on next-gen consoles and/or PC.

This game has absolutely shocking graphics on PS3, the worst I've seen on a PS3 game, ever. I'm pretty sure it's somewhere on-par with late PS2 graphics, it's that bad. I'm usually not one to complain about graphics but this is ridiculous, I don't think they spent any time trying...

"I ordered this game before I knew all about the issues with the ps3 version, yes there are many and they can be very annoying. However I stuck with it and the more I played the less I noticed them.
The graphics are not very good, the sound randomly cuts out and often the music overpowers the dialogue. The controls can be fiddly and annoying especially when fighting multiple enemies. At times this did feel like a budget title.
Yet the gameplay is rewarding and addictive, the story is...

"I have just downloaded this game to see what all the hype is about and to see if it is as bad as most of the reviews here. If it was bad then I will say it's Bad, but I can say I have played it and really liked it.Ok the game had some glitches but I loved it. You can say, "does this guy live in the real world" and the answer to that is yes I do and I speak as I find. For me it worked, and I am loving it. 5 Star Rating Great RPG
By: Reece Piper, on December 12, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Very good game for anyone who likes RPGs

Even though the most unique part of the game, the nemesis system, has been scaled down on Xbox 360 and PS3 it still adds a very good deal of immersion to this fantastic Open World Action RPG. The combat system is well designed and it is much like Batman: Arkham Origins. It is bit easy as an average player can fend off hordes (in some missions more than 50) of regular uruks. However the other 4 less common types of uruks (Archer,Hunter,Defender and...

4 Star Rating Thoroughly enjoyable game. Not much lets it down at all.
    By: H_coles, on December 5, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The gameplay itself is outstanding; the storyline really draws you in, the combat system is excellent - every kill is ultra-satisfying - and so is the nemesis system.

The only problems I have with it are the slightly extended loading times, and this happens then you close the menu, entering and exiting cutscenes etc but as other reviewers have said, you get used to it. Doubtless on PC, PS4 and Xbox One this time is much shorter or non-existent. I do not blame the developers or even...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Shadow of Mordor is a gritty, brutal and unique game and also a unique look at the world of Middle Earth.
The game focuses around your character getting revenge for the death of his family and himself and you are able to do this due to the fact that you have been cursed; stuck between life and death. This is where the rather excellent gaming system comes in.

As you progress through the game you earn xp and level ups, like most RPG games of this style, however so do your enemies...

5 Star Rating All hail the Nemesis System
By: Kennedy, on November 13, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game is superb. It's an open world fighting game with one incredible feature which, for me, is the best thing I've come across in a game of this type for years: the nemesis system. In short, this is a subsystem which functions to make individuals out of all those hundreds of orcs and uruks you're going to kill. And it works!

It does many things: When you are killed, Orcs become more powerful and get promoted, so death matters strategically in this game, you have to pick your...

His family undergo an ordeal and he ends up being resurrected along with a Wraith. Neither Talion nor the Wraith know what has happened so they journey together in order to piece together the history and lift the curse.

    Cons:

"[This is a review of the PS4 version. Given the way that Amazon migrates reviews it will probably end up on the PS3 and Xbox 360 pages, so be advised that I understand that these versions do not have the Nemesis system, which is the best part of the game. Now read on.]

I have no problem sinking hundreds of hours into an RPG but it takes something special to make me hang in there with an action game, so it was a big deal when, just short of the fifty-hour point, I decided to finish up...

    Cons:

"I've played about 12 hours so far and I'm really enjoying it. The gameplay requires quite a lot of stealth so if your into those type of games and you also enjoy Lord of the Rings then you'll enjoy this.

There's a lengthy intro which sets the story up, I won't spoil this other than to stay that you play a character who is seeking revenge. You are kind of in limbo, between being alive and dead and can activate a spirit world view kind of like batman and splinter cell which allows you...

Talion our hero here fights, climbs and kills just like Ezio "Yeah" and i love it.
Combat mechanics are a little confusing at the beginning but i suggest instead of advancing the main storyline, just hang around, kill 100s of...

"I had originally overlooked this game (being a LotR fan I am ashamed to have not thought about it) but only last week had pre-ordered after reading some very good reviews on it........and boy, I am not disappointed.

Some people will complain that it is too much like AC and I can understand why they say that. The parkour (though not AS smooth) is very similar to AC and the combat is somewhat similar too. However, for me, thats where the similarities are more or less over. What I have...

"Probably the biggest surprise to all of us gamers this year... Shadow of Mordor isn't just good, it's excellent!

Going to keep this review as short and to the point as possible. Many people have accused SoM of copy pasting mechanics and styles from both Assassins Creed and the Arkham games, to which I say yes, that's pretty much the case.

It's not difficult to see where the developers got there inspirations from when implementing the combat and travel systems into this...

"To say that Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor has been overlooked this year would be a lie but with other games, such as Destiny, having been released recently this game could easily have blown under your radar. It's always great when a game like this comes out of nowhere and blows everything else out of the water and this is exactly what Shadow of Mordor has done.

Giving this work of art a one star because the user couldn't be bothered to check if the game would even work on their PC in the first place is ridiculous. Other people see the low score and judge the game before they even try it when in fact their PC could easily run it!
The game itself looks beautiful, I can only run it on Very High and that's more than enough to blast my brain with the amazing detail and textures.
