Jaw-droppingly non-PC guilty pleasure!!! By: J. Scott "JS", on August 30, 2012 Pros: Cons: "I rented this from Lovefilm, because I wanted to try it but thought it sounded utterly naff. I played through it once , then immediately went on-line and purchased a copy of my own. I've NEVER rented a game and then bought it before. I mean, come on, what's not to like: hordes of zombies, utterly bizarre end-of-level badies; fun and challenging mini-games (in one case almost TOO challenging); and hilariously unexpected one-liners that you definitely won't want to play... |

Sleeper Hit Of The Year By: Stevie G "Stevie G", on August 9, 2011 Pros: Cons: "The bland cover art and cliched title does nothing to hint at the madness within. Shadows of the Damned is a startlingly original game, a collaboration between Suda 51 (No More Heroes), Shinji Mikami (Resident Evil 4) and Akira Yamaoka (Sound Director of Silent Hill). His demon slaying has infuriated... |

If you are a fan of movies like 'The Evil Dead' then no doubt you will enjoy the atmosphere and humour. How much you enjoy the game will probably depend on your liking for that type of genre mixed with if you have enjoyed the unusual titles from Suda before (Killer 7, No More Heroes). Stylistically the game is fantastic, a wonderfully over the top and cool world. The... |

Great - dark, twisted and shocking, but great! By: AnimaSola, on June 19, 2011 Pros: Cons: "First off, PLEASE don't buy this for younger children: Despite the fact its Alice in Wonderland - it most certainly is NOT a kids game and it has a 15 certificate for a very good reason - the content is not only very adult (f-bomb/ c-bomb grade bad language and the obvious violence), but it is extremely disturbing too (going into it too much here would ruin the "twist", but suffice to say, the general play is dark, disconcerting and chilling, and the climax of the plot genuinely horrible)... |
