    Pros:
    Cons:

"I am not a young player. My reactions are not fast enough for Call of Duty multi-player. I am just cannon fodder for the fan boys. The campaigns on Call of Duty games are intensive but very short. They don't give much value for money for gamers who only want to play as a single-player.

This game had dropped in price enough for me to try and I am now basking in the glow of finishing it. It was the best CoD campaign since the original (Number 4) Modern Warfare.

    As expected,...

By: Max Hutchins, on November 8, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"For context, I haven't played CoD since MW3 and I only bought this game after watching a lot of streamed gameplay.
If you like the CoD formula like I do, but wanted a change to bring it into next gen then this is it. The wall running gameplay works perfectly and the game feels like a better version of Crysis 3. The only gripe I have with it is that I am currently experiencing a "Disco lights" issue, whereby artificial lighting effects are amplified to obscene levels making it very...

Packed with action and featuring actor Kevin Spacey who stars as Jonathan Irons, this is another brilliant game in the Call of Duty range. The game can be played...

This game has the best single-player campaign short of the Mass Effect series of games in my opinion. They have put a lot of effort into the single-player campaign. Two words: Kevin Spacey. Think "House of Cards" bad, and he makes for a...

"I just received my copy of GTA 5 for PC - The boxed, standard edition.

First things I noticed are that no, it does not come with a steam code, but rather a rockstar code. Also, you cannot download the game, you have to install it with the CDs of which there are 7 which takes around 2 hours to complete!

The presentation is very good. In the box you get the 7 game disks and a small folder with a map and instructions and it looks as good as some collectors editions, though I...

3 Star Rating First of all, it’s very nice to see a woman in the main campaign
By: wayne, on March 7, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"First of all, it’s very good to see a woman in the main campaign, and play an appropriate role, not just to be seen as a token gesture, as I come from a Resident Evil background, and there are loads of female characters which makes it more diverse.
The double jump is a breath of fresh air, the idea is simple and has been done in other games, but injects so much fun into this very some were saying stale and decaying franchise, and they had to do something, the boost jump makes killing...

By: Dean Millington, on February 18, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"They've ripped the heart & soul out of what Call of Duty was originally known for. Call of Duty was an old school war game with great maps, guns & good graphics. World at War was an absolute great game basing the maps & involving the United States, the Empire of Japan, the Soviet Union, and Nazi Germany. The legendary "Nazi Zombies" was first introduced in this game. Call of Duty 4 was one of the best COD's ever based in Pripyat/Chernobyl the city of nuclear disaster. The locations was...

By: Kennedy, on January 23, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I have bought COD generally every other year for the single player campaign, as I really enjoy the predictable blast through the bombastic levels of mayhem and random slaughter. I was never interested in the multiplayer, so I can't really comment.

The one thing I thought the single player campaigns did at their best in COD was offer real WTF moments of adrenalised craziness. The Submarine level at the start of MW3, the level in BLOPS 2 where you played as the bad guy (many great...

"I have no issues with Amazon here, the item was delivered with no issues. Arrived on time for Day Zero edition packaged well with no fault.

But the game itself is really questioned my loyalty to Call of Duty games, I have long been a fanatic and played all Call of Duty's reaching master prestiges and resetting stats and so forth but this game has actually been difficult finding it fun.

I play competitively and do aim for high K/D's, if you want to keep playing competitive...

By: Morgan kendle, on January 12, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Absolutely outstanding gameplay with brilliant storyline 5/5. However, for some reason quite often when I'm playing on it, there are large problems with the graphics and I don't know if it's my computer or if its a faulty copy but I doubt it's a faulty copy. I also have to really turn down the graphics for it to run even slightly smoothly ( all of the textures and filters are on low, the render resolution is all the way down, shadows and shaders are off or low, etc but I still get the problem...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Call of Duty is back and this time its got ray guns and stupid bouncy costumes. Not only that, but this time they've given us a set of remarkably dull MP maps, in the hope that they can squeeze another ?50 out of us for the better ones they'll release via DLC. As for the weapons on offer, my kids have got a better selection scattered around the garden. Over the years too many developers have been sticking their fingers in the CoD pie without washing their hands, and now it tastes of s

By: Kennedy, on January 10, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I'm one of the few suckers who buys this for the campaign, as I have no time and I know with COD that I get (usually) a polished pick up and play shooter that I don't need to learn.
I had high hopes for the ps4 iteration of the game, but oh dear. Big disappointment. The campaign cut scenes are very next-gen, featuring incredible lighting models and character animation. But in-game? Looks worse than black-ops 2. Art direction is bland. Textures and assets pop-in all over. Character models...

"Like everyone else I did not want to give in to cod but all my friends brought it hyped it up so I gave in and brought it.

I must say very dissapointing on the multiplayer side of things I loved how the old ones were like being in a war zone and how it felt slightly real to an extent.

But this damn it's like a very pour attempt to try to reach the standards of what halo were trying to do but never seemed to reach that peek. The online aspect is bland the only difference in...

1 Star Rating Terrible game, especially on the PS3
    By: Thomas H., on December 31, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Summary: Terrible game, especially on the PS3. (Disclaimer: Only play multiplayer modes on the CoD games)

    Details (online only):
Only good part of the game is the additional movement capabilities the exo suits provide, making maps a true 3D environment. Everything else, in my opinion, is a let down.

This game has 2 HUGE flaws that no CoD fan would enjoy:
    1. This game seems focussed on providing "rewards" in terms of new outfits - like a barbie convention...

    By: Andrew B, on December 28, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The campaign is better than most other versions of COD but lets face it, everyone gets these games for the online multiplayer. The exo movements add another dimension to this mode but have seriously unbalanced the weapon categories with submachine gun wielding run and gun types dominating it completely. Assault rifles are still a decent option but heavy weapons and sniper rifles are virtually redundant unless they're of the one shot, one kill variety. For me the series peaked at Black Ops 2...

3 Star Rating Call of Duty: AW ..... Campaign is stunning but Multiplayer is more of the same!
By: MrE, on December 26, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The call of duty DNA remains but this time around the multiplayer has been given more attention. Firstly the campaign, just like all call of duty games the story in this one is fantastic and full of high octane shootouts, people often go on about the multiplayer but just like its predecessors this game has a story to be proud of. Essentially the U.S. are sent into South Korea to fend off the North Koreans and besides a few poor moments and confusing sections the campaign is very...

By: Richard Pennington, on December 23, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Considering the anticipation surrounding Advanced Warfare it's really quite disappointing. It's apparent that this game is nothing more than a cash cow. Many will say "if it ain't broke, don't fix it", which is a valid point, but really you should expect more for your money.

With the release of next gen consoles the benchmark for games has increased considerably. Now, I cannot criticise the game on its production value, because it is obviously very good, unsurprisingly for a...

By: Spartacus, on December 19, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I avoided CoD Ghosts due to bad reviews, but thought I'd give this one a go seeing as it seemed to get more favorable reports from some of the more respected commenters, such as TB.

However, I must say that this is the worst purchase I have made this year, and am kicking myself for not trusting my gut. The single player is exactly the same thing as every other CoD, and has now become so boring to play. The hand-holding mechanics are now at an unprecedented level in my opinion, and...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Not played cod for a while. Was hooked on black ops 2 and only game I played for a year (sad I know but do I care). Got advanced warfare on xbox one hoping for something special FOR multiplayer. NO JOY. While the graphics are ok ish aka last gen and the gameplay is smooth, it's basically a free for all. Maps are very small and the gun system and mechanics mean that pretty much anybody could be top of the leader board in one game and bottom in the next. Run and jump around like crazy getting...

By: alexkillsdie, on December 2, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"At first glance Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare seems to be a solid game with everything you might expect from the franchise, but dig a little deeper and some very big cracks begin to show.

The campaign: Predictable, very short, confusing with terrible AI

The online multiplayer: Unplayable... FPS drops, hitching, lag, texture popping, small maps, underwhelming and pointless "dynamic" events, non destructible enviroment, poorly optimised "exo abilities",...

2 Star Rating A new direction for COD, but it needs some serious work.
By: RJM, on November 29, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

    "Deeply dissapointed in this game.
My wife bought me Advanced Warfare as an early xmas gift as she wanted me to be able to have it on release and didn't want me 'catching up' at christmas. Very sweet.
So it's appaling that after playing for less than a month I'd be trading it in if it hadn't been her gift.

There are some great features in this game and for the COD franchise it really is a change of direction. The campaign is interesting and while the plot is predictable and...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"I first starting playing COD games back in 2008 with COD4 MW. At the time it felt like nothing before - a gripping campaign and addictive multiplayer with the levelling and challenge mechanisms.

As time has gone on COD has found itself with nowhere to go with the modern warfare mechanics - campaigns bordering on the completely ridiculous with constant predictable set pieces and perk-driven frenetic multiplayer. (Note: I haven't played Blops or Ghosts)

    By: Mr. T. W. C. Jeremiah "Waspstink", on November 27, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Over the years I have thought less and less of the CoD games so I am unsure why I keep buying them. The developers have tried to make the games innovative by including more features for multiplayer but I think this has made it too complicated (as a casual gamer). In this version, I have no idea what is happening most of the time with all of the 'perks' and upgrades on offer. CoD used to allow players (in multiplayer) to play in their own style whether it be running and gunning, sneaking, hide...

3 Star Rating Avoid buying this edition for the accessories - they are rubbish.
By: trustedguy, on November 26, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The Urban Ops edition is awful. The game is NOT the issue, it's the added kit which is dreadful. There are 3 items: 1 a really horrible cheap plastic wallet, 2 a disgracefully bad rubbery and cheap flimsy metal clipped bracelet and finally 3 a key keeper which is passable quality. I would be ashamed to put the franchises name on this package. The first two items are cheap junk. Never ever consider buying this edition unless it's heavily discounted and I think Amazon should be ashamed to stock...

After about 1 hour I found myself saying not this level again and the maps aint that big! It was all HYPE again with this one I thought it would be a lot different! Campaign is decent for me as was ghosts campaign although short! I would get this when price drops unless its of course a must have for christmas!

    By: AidyC30, on November 14, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Almost as bad as Ghost ! and that was bad. I thought the new Exo suits would be quite good looking at the trailers and game play videos but as usual they want you to see only what they want. These new abilities make the game very very poor, designed for kids who do nothing more than jump around the screen like bunny rabbits avoiding bullets. If only it was like that in real life. I know it's a game but for me they have taken all the fun out of it. There are game modes available so You can play...

4 Star Rating Advanced Warfare Review
    By: T. W. Marshall, on November 12, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I bought COD Advanced Warfare as I've put hundreds of ours into Battlefield 4 and was wanting to play something with smaller maps and a more infantry vs. infantry gameplay.

I've been a fan of COD online ever since my first session of Modern Warfare and I think MW3 is the best yet, a hairs breadth better than MW2 (which has better maps). But I've not liked the Black Ops games or Ghosts as they've added nothing to the series.

The problem with COD is two fold, 1st of all they...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Meh, every year we get marketing sprayed at us saying its the best one in the series, yet having played it, nothing exciting or unique actually happens in this version. In Single player mode you are on the same single route story lines with the same tedius COD situations. Slow mo take downs. Cut scenes in vehicles that crash, correct button combination cut scenes and characters faing down drops that would kill anyone yet get up and carry on.

The actual game looks really good in...

    By: BladeRunner2015, on November 6, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Some could argue that the Call of Duty franchise has been struggling over the last few years, but this release seems to be a return to form for the so called dying franchise. So what's new?

Players can look forward to a whole new blockbuster campaign which features the voice and motion capture talents of big Hollywood star Kevin Spacey, and up and coming star Troy Baker, who I suspect will soon become a household name if his career continues in this direction, many gamers will know...

    Cons:

"As a long time COD fan I'm really disappointed. Forget Advanced Warfare, they should have labelled this up as COD: Marmite. It's going to split players into two distinct camps; the lovers & the haters.

For me personally, I'm in the haters camp. The franchise has been blighted by the futuristic jumping nonsense and weaponry. The glitchy graphics, game play and tedious 'intermission' between online games is all so frustratingly annoying that I've lost all interest after 3 days and I'm...

"This year I told myself I wasn't falling for the hype and buying call of duty again. Ghosts was a shocker! Well my willpower was even more shocking! Soon as my mates bought it I didn't want to miss out so I followed their lead. Kinda wishing I didn't. Don't get me wrong it's ok but definitely not a return to the good old days. What annoys me is they have ruined my favourite game mode, Infected. This time around you only ever get a shotgun and not the random gun like in previous versions. Hope...

4 Star Rating A solid entry into the series with refreshing changes but still the Call of Duty you either love or hate
By: Game Reviews, on November 4, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Another year and another Call of Duty! We get one every year and last years' addition, Ghosts, was average at best. I'm pleased to say that Advanced Warfare is better than its predecessor and has a few new changes to boot.

    Campaign

Let's face it, Call of Duty is probably more renowned for the multiplayer side of things but the campaign has always been my favourite element of a Call of Duty game. Advanced Warfare's campaign revolves around Mitchell,...

3 Star Rating Fried CoD: Advanced Jumping
By: Max, on November 4, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Advanced Warfare continues the decline of the Call of Duty series. Not only is the multiplayer only a small step up from Ghosts, but the much hyped "exo-suit" ability makes for a lacking online experience. Lag problems aside the multiplayer is just plain bad, maps just aren't fun to play, even with their verticality. They make it so easy for campers to set up shop and escape easily. CoD just doesn't work with boost jumps, it creates dumb chaotic gameplay with players flying all over the place...

5 Star Rating Great, for what it is.
By: Max, on November 4, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Call of Duty Advanced Warfare is another great slice of escaptist multiplayer shooting. This time offering up a futuristic battlefield where 'exo suits' allow the player to jump high and a plethero of other new tech. However it boils down to another solid FPS multiplayer.

The single player is certainly worth a spin. With some great visuals and set pieces its mostly the usual shooting gallery, but its fun nonetheless. A nice performance from Kevin Spacey helps too.

    Overall...

4 Star Rating Better than the past few outings but not as good as the original MW
By: MrE, on November 3, 2014
    Pros:

4 Star Rating Hopes are vindicated
By: Gumption Brash, on November 3, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"As an avid PC Gamer, I wondered if I should get this. The community for Ghosts dried up very quickly on PC to the point where buying expansions was pointless.
With the series in decline this purchase feels like a bit of a risk. Just how many people are going to buy it? Will they stick around? Not to mention that Ghosts was a horrible experience on PC. No optimisation being the main bugbear.
Well firstly, this game runs well. I do have a very good PC but I'm also able to run this on my...

5 Star Rating Best COD in ages!!
By: zac, on November 3, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Wow what can I say... This is by far the best COD made in the last 3 years. The story is great ive put about 7 hours into it so far on the veteran difficultly which believe me at times is frustrating lol, bit there is so much you can do they have really improved the way you play and feels really fresh. The graphics are stunning especially facial expressions the best ive seen on the One yet a few landscape areas could of been improved but overall its very impressive. The multiplayer is...
