Worst game in the series By: David Hayward, on August 23, 2018 Pros: Cons: "Not a good game. It's suffering from an identity crisis. It has been turned into an action game, and has lost the suspense that the earlier titles offered. I also dislike the over the shoulder camera view and boring, yet difficult action scenes. For example where you have to run away from a helicopter that firing rocketed at you, and the smallest error results in death. It just isn't fun to play. ???? |

The Definitive version, just great! By: STANSOLO, on June 30, 2018 Pros: Cons: "Fantastic game that i play a lot of because its so good to keep coming back too to get all the upgrades for all the guns. The campaigns are very good fun and even better in co-op, love it. |

a fun horror game - with lots to do By: S P Mead, on May 7, 2016 Pros: Cons: "This is the PS4 HD version of “Resident Evil 6” by Capcom. The game was originally released in 2012 – and this is a re-mastered edition, with all the map and multi-player content included in the purchase. It’s an action-adventure third-person shooter, in the ‘survival horror’ genre (involving lots of zombie-like creatures and freakish monsters). This is the ninth instalment in the franchise, and it draws on many of the plot points and story elements from... |

Raid Mode - Social life murderer Gauntlet run heaven By: Susan Appleby, on May 11, 2015 Pros: Cons: "Got this game to help make me feel better after I heard I wasn't going to get to play Silent Hills. Another reason I got this game was to get to play the legionary Claire Redfield once again GOD I missed Claire. I have been pining for her since code veronica and thought I would treat myself with this. I didn't know anything about it other then Claire was in it. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 By: grvalentine20, on March 30, 2015 Pros: Cons: "Resident Evil Revelations 2 is of course the second entry of the Revelation series which is still part of the Resident Evil universe, however these entries tend to take place between the numbered entries. The first time experiencing the main campaign can be thrilling, new enemies and new environments are always something good exploring but there are several problems with the world of Revelations 2. -You play as two teams, Claire and Barry, both having their own partner. You jump... |

Helpful review? By: Lauren, on January 27, 2015 Pros: Cons: "Someone just asked me if you need to play the otger two to play this game. No. This one is actually a different type of game play to the others. It's a bit more fast pace, but the comic strip graphics are insane (if you like a bit of a creative storyline). The first two are still better you do not get anywhere near as many weapons or weapon upgrades on this game, and once you kill one of each zombie you know how to take them down. Much more simplified version of the original two, is more of an... |

A lot of hours well spent By: Karol M, on August 27, 2014 Pros: Cons: "From the get-go you choose one of 3 campaigns, each one has their own characters and slightly different gameplay types while still keeping the same combat foundations. Each of the campaigns has it's own story which is woven throughout the game with other character campaigns and often crossover which makes the story really great at points even though the overall story is rather bland. The setting(s) are very good and look great, each has it's own feel and is completely different from others. The... |

The series is evolving into something great!!!! By: Mr Mallen D Burgess, on March 17, 2014 Pros: Cons: "I have been a fan of Resident Evil for many years; all started with RE3 Nemesis (I was too young to understand sequels lol), and eventually played 1 through 6. There has been many disagreements with fans saying that the series has become more action than horror. I disagree; the right genre-term is Action Horror which I applaud Capcom. Resident Evil 6 is a fantastic mixture of Horror and Action mixed with a few surprises (returning characters and new ones too). The gameplay took some... |

Excellent game By: Bob, on November 29, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Ok so it's nothing like the early Resident Evil games but it's still a very good game in it's own right. The graphics are fantastic, polished and ultra smooth. The sound, voice acting and music are excellent. The single player campaign is long (22 hours in so far, 3 chapters and Ada's campaign still to finish). The only gripe I have with it is the inventory controls which are quite confusing and cumbersome but that could be down to being a console port. I enjoyed this game a lot... |

Resident Evil 6 By: Legion "Artifer", on November 21, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I played all the Resident Evil games dating back to ps1, and I've been disappointed with the last two they've seem to have lost there way. The original one was epic the story line made sense and it was fun to play and you had a genuine feel of the characters, but this one was just woeful just so linear. What happened to figuring the puzzles out for yourself so that you obtained the key to open the door to go further on in the game that's "RESIDENT EVIL" not been lead around by your nose, all... |

Not as good as RE5 but I liked it a lot By: Ian, on October 14, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Some of the reviews here seem a little unfair. It is not the best of the RE games by any means, my favourite being RE5 followed closely by RE2. However I think, in my opinion, that it looks pretty good and plays very smoothly on my PC. I was surprised that it played so well, as my PC is under the minimum specs listed to play the game. The gameplay isn't so different from the other games maybe with a little more action than puzzles, but that is fine by me. I am only a little way into the game... |

Needs some patioence By: Biro, on September 20, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I was impressed with the start sequence, graphics and atmosphere were good. I am a bit slow picking up the control system and get killed in the simplest of scenarios I.e 1 zombie! I got past that eventually and now outside I have died in the zombie swarm, mostly because I am still not familiar with the controls and I seem to have set the brightness too low as I can't see the zombies attacking me half the time. I will increase the brightness and persevere - I am sure it... |

Very good game with some flaws By: R. B. Cavanagh "roryos", on June 2, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I picked this up after hearing that it was far better than Resident Evil 6, I wanted to see if these claims were true. I was pleasently surprised to see that they were true, this game feels much more like a Resident Evil game than 6 did, closer combat, smaller areas to explore a lot less action orientated. Not much i can really go into apart from that as this is much like RE4 and 5 with some minor gameplay tweaks. The story is interesting (although it feels a bit too japanese compared to the... |

Best in the series since RE4... By: alternadv "gamerguru", on June 1, 2013 Pros: Cons: "As a long time fan of the Resident Evil series, I have to admit that I went into Resident Evil: Revelations a little skeptical, to say the least. Resident Evil 6 had been surrounded by so much hype, claiming that it would revolutionize the series and take it to new and exciting places. Alas, it certainly did not. What did we get? A confusing, tedious and shallow 'action' game that seemed to strip away all the things that made Resident Evil, Resident Evil. Resident Evil: Revelations... |

Beware the Raid Mode! By: Winston Butler, on May 31, 2013 Pros: Cons: "The main game (Campaign Mode) is a fine return to form for the series. It plays like the earlier games and that is no bad thing. It's a little on the short side and it's not without its flaws, hence the four-star rating. It is the Raid Mode, however, that is the real star of this show. Beware the Raid Mode because it will consume your every waking hour - it is that addictive! Playing it will result in divorce or separation, your children being taken into care and your pets leaving... |

A sad addition to a classic series By: Colin A. Gray "Colshy B", on February 23, 2013 Pros: Cons: "In Resident Evil 4, a classic horror adventure game was converted into a horror shooter. It was a brave and risky move but in doing so they created what I consider to be one of the very goodest games ever made. Sadly since then the series has gone downhill. Resident Evil 5 was a good game but started to concentrate too much on cut scenes and tomb raider like levels. Unfortunately Resident Evil 6 goes to a whole new extreme in this regard. Resident Evil 6 has 3 stores to play through and... |

Hugely conflicted. By: CraigL, on February 7, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Having played through all 4 stories in this game now I don't know whether to give it 1 star or 5, which is why I've settled on 3. There are some very entertaining sections in each character arc, but there are some massively frustrating, clunky and downright annoying elements too. Most reviewers supply their Res history, so, if anyone is interested, my first PS1 game was Res1, which I loved. Res2 and 3 were equally brilliant for me and equally replayed over and again. Resident Evil 6 Steelbook Edition. By: Stuart Antony, on December 13, 2012 Pros: Cons: "To start just a brief word on the steel book edition. This comes with another disk only containing non English language voice dubs and no other added extras that I can find at all. Also given the weight of it quite how much steel is in it I wouldn't like to say. Certainly not as much as the Resident Evil 5 Steel book which also has a making of extras DVD. Resident Evil...... SUX By: J. Clarke "Alright Sally", on November 5, 2012 Pros: Cons: "Introduction 2009's Resident Evil 5's premise was first seen as questionable - swapping the dark and murky streets of Raccoon city, the grim n' grey surroundings of 4, - in favour of the scorching terrain of africa. Despite the lack of horror and thrills, its action was unrivalled and was a blockbuster title - punching boulders into volcanos and all. Yet no.6 tries to go one further... or 3 further, as this time there are initially 3 campaigns to scour through, each one consisting of 5... |

Basically Resident Evil 5 2.0 By: Lewis, on October 17, 2012 Pros: Cons: "And from the title I've given this review, this is the problem we're now facing with Resident Evil. For those of you who have played Resident Evil 5, let me tell you that this is very similar. For those of you who haven't, and are maybe expecting this to be something like Resident Evil 4 or the older titles, you're in for a let down. Not nearly as good as it should have been, but not as bad as many say it is either. By: Ben Dunne, on October 3, 2012 Pros: Cons: "Ok so I have had this game nearly two days now and so far I have completed Leon's campaign, played roughly three hours of chris's campaign and played two hours worth of Jake's campaign. My thoughts so far? That this game is more dissapointing than it is actually bad. Let's talk about what the game gets right first. Well to start, this game is fantastic value for money, with 3 campaigns that last around 6 hours each, a fourth campaign that is unlocked upon completion of the other 3,... |

Overall, a decent action-shooter By: Revenga, on May 23, 2012 Pros: Cons: "I confess I purchased Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City only after reading about how bad it was. Truly, this game has received such a negative press, I could not help feeding my curiosity, so after watching a few YouTube gameplay videos to see what it looked like (and concluding it looked alright), I purchased it. The truth is, there are two ways of approaching this game: (i) If you are a die-hard Resident Evil fan, then it is likely you will approach Operation Raccoon City... |

what have Slant Six done to Resi By: Su, on March 25, 2012 Pros: Cons: "I was really looking forward to this game. I pre-ordered it back in December. I've been playing it since I arrived home from the store with it and I am incredibly disappointed. The first thing is that Capcom may have its name on this game (and in retrospect may wish they hadn't), it is in fact the offspring of a company called Slant Six. I am informed that Slant Six has been responsible for some of the worst games available. It is a team based game, but you can play it... |

Back to the Past. By: Drkmttr2007, on January 17, 2012 Pros: Cons: "This is GameCube's 2nd RE game after the remake of the original Resident Evil and it isn't a sequel. It's much more than a prequel and I'll explain why is it. When the original Resident Evil infected the Psone back in 1996, players wondered how the zombie outbreak all began in the first place when the story unfolded. Capcom remade the original game for the GameCube as part of the exclusive deal with capcom and players were still left wondering how it all happened in the first place, until... |

By: Leviathan, on October 5, 2010 Pros: Cons: "I wanted this game to be good; I had high hopes and also had to wait a while for this coming back into stock after it seemed to be a bit of a sleeper Move launch title. After a decent fist at it I have to say that I am far from disappointed. The game is a cracker in any case, everyone already knew that. A superb continuation of the Resident Evil storyline, but in a new direction and style that has really helped to keep it fresh and engaging. The Move functionality has... |

I personally think using a dualshock controller and the PS3 Move is not ideal and if anything will take away the fun and ease at which you can play this game. Anyway, the game is actually easier with the navigator and the Move controller,... |

But, i do believe that the game is worth these stars, here is why: Like its younger sister (Umbrella Chronicles), it re-tells the stories of the Orignial Resident evils (in this case RE2 and Code Veronica) in a much quicker, smoother format that generally involves the hero's being outnumbered, lost and looking awfully like dinner for the... |
