    5 Star Rating Great Game
By: Aspartame, on February 8, 2016
    Pros:
    Cons:

    "Loved this game.

I know there is some criticism around the cut scenes but it just works. The story is excellent, the voice acting is Last of Us class and graphically there simply isn't another 'next gen' game on console to touch it. Ready at Dawn take a bow. Superb. Getting into gunfights with Geordie accents flying around was great. Especially as mine was the loudest!!

The basic gameplay is a cover shooter a la Gears of War with some stealth thrown in but it's the cut...

3 Star Rating Could have delivered a lot more than it did
By: Danny, on July 2, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"It's tricky to know how to review this game. Do I start with the visuals? The story? The gameplay? The 'lore' surrounding it online?

Let's begin with basics - it's set, unsurprisingly by the title, in a parallel universe version of old London town in the late 19th century, where you play Sir Galahad, a knight of the round table who, like his peers, drinks black water for immortality.

The game opens with his incarceration, before a heavily-fleshed out flashback (80% of the...

3 Star Rating Rainy day in Gaming excellence.
    By: Shadows911, on May 8, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I chose to not to believe the bad reviews and buy the game anyway. Good decision, but they were also right.

The main positive of this game was the graphics, which are excellent-But, the entire tone of the game is like the cover, black and white, if you like looking at dust, rain, rust and the colour grey in HD then this is the game for you.
The main thing that bothered me was that there's more cutscenes then gameplay, every two seconds, for the simplest, merger thing, you'll get...

5 Star Rating Definitely not out of order
By: Jeff Franklin, on April 8, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is the first playstation exclusive I have played on PS4 and it is great! I know that by now all the negative reviews about the length of this game have been widely circulated but I enjoyed every single moment of this game and its length is no problem for me as too many games add lots of unnecessary filler just so that they can avoid the tag of being a short game.

This is a historic action game with a twist and I won’t go into spoilers but I will just say all is not what...

4 Star Rating Order of the Day
    By: A. Cracknell, on April 4, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I like The Order. It's a game set in London in 1886 (who'd have guessed) and there are werewolves and other nasties, and you have lightning guns and some other snazzy gadgets to kill them with.

The Order is entirely single-player so any plot spoilers here would be like me smacking the wing mirrors off your new car as it rolled out of the factory, basically not cool. So instead I'll make a few comparisons to other games and then gush about the fact that it looks quite pretty (which it...

3 Star Rating A bit pricey for what it is, wait for a price drop or rent it
By: J. Richards "The Icon", on March 25, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The Order 1886, it's one of them rare games that has many good points and many bad points, it's a marmite game as such. Firstly, i don't agree with the many negative reviews out there. There are points i agree on, and others i disagree on. Which i'll go into as this review goes on.

You are in a very impressive Victorian London in the year 1886 (never would have guessed) playing as the lead character Sir Galahad. You are part of the Knights of the Order, whose job it is to maitain...

    Pros:
    Cons:

"The Order has made a big impression on me. It was not on my gaming radar initially so didn't really have any expectations to speak of. I have completed it twice and will do a third play through. I am totally sold on the whole premise of The Order and the universe of Victorian London, knights and beasts. I loved the gameplay, which was tight, well paced and not full of random filler. Every moment of the game had its purpose and place.

    I enjoyed it immensely.

4 Star Rating Story long, gameplay short

    Pros:
    Cons:

"Now before I start my review I just want to say how much I did enjoy this game, everything else aside I enjoyed it but the game has it's cons which unfortunately sometimes out weigh the pros.

Firstly, the graphics and visuals are stunning and most certainly what next gen is about the game most certainly doesn't disappoint in that area, but onto gameplay.

Gameplay is very simple, press this press that, shoot shoot! Again press this, press that sometimes your not even sure...

5 Star Rating Ignore the false criticism
By: SyGuy, on February 27, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"If you enjoyed Heavy Rain and like The Last of Us and Uncharted then the order is for you. I really enjoyed the game and about 3/4 of the way thru and it's taken 7 hours so far. The games quite deep in respect characters and story. The visuals are standard setting and gun play is just your usual sand box run and gun. However some of the custom weapons are just brilliant and creative. It's really going to be a matter of taste. I'm really enjoying it and I'm incredibly hard to please after 30...

4 Star Rating For fans of Steampunk and those who enjoy a linear story driven game this is well worth a look
By: Kevin Trebell, on February 25, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I had been waiting for The Order 1886 since I first heard about it before the PS4 released. It was one of the driving forces in me deciding to get the system.

Then the game released to an avalanche of negative press and I was very nearly put off completely. However I watched some streams and found that I really liked what I was seeing , loved the look and feel and was more than happy with the linear and story driven nature of the game and decided to go for it.

    The game...

3 Star Rating Lack of freedom and replayability give me mixed feelings regarding this beautifully atmospheric shooter.
By: FallenGrace, on February 21, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The Order is a hard game to Quantify. I enjoyed it immensely and disagree with the many negative critic reviews regarding it and yet there are certain aspects of truth regarding some bits about it but I don't necessarily think that a short game with no multiplayer is a bad thing, not all games need to be padded out with so much filler and The Order: 1886's tight atmospheric narrative really works in that regard.

The game is set in a slightly steampunk Victorian London in 1886...

4 Star Rating The Order 1886 - A solid game but not as involving as they first announced!
By: MrE, on February 20, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I've been anticipating this game ever since its announcement back in 2013 and I must say having now finished my first playthrough I'm glad I bought the game but i do question its Retail price given the amount of content, please read on...

Set in Victorian London during 1886, this game is everything you might expect of an olde worlde type game but with supernatural monsters to fight. Indeed the game almost portrays itself as a parallel world which could quite have easily happened. The...

5 Star Rating A new order of graphics...
By: TheLastGamer, on February 20, 2015
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Packaging - The box is held within a plastic cover, the cover contains some good art and information as to what the box contains, including the extra add ons for the game. Once the box is taken out it is a pretty sturdy card box with engravings all over it. The gold studs are painted on but nevertheless looks good. When the main box is opened all the contents are secure within, using nothing more than card latches, now some may find this cheap but others may find it easier to access. Regardless...
