4 Star Rating Only combo fiends should apply
By: Mr AJ Kibbler, on April 14, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I love fighting games and have been playing them my whole life. However, I am rubbish when it comes to learning and, more importantly, applying combos in the heat of combat. BlazBlue is a superbly designed game, but is very combo heavy - meaning I am rubbish at it! The fact that I still really like it and rate it very highly, show what a quality game it is. Even if you're no good at combos, the design should help you love this game, just don't expect to do well online or against higher level...

5 Star Rating A worthy expansion of the original, bursting with content!
    By: Mr. P. J. Pears, on January 31, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"If you were one of the few who picked up Arc Systems original BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger last year then you will have enjoyed one of the most unique and exciting fighting game available. Wonderful, hand-drawn 2D sprites, fast, frenetic and deep combat, a proper story mode made it one of the sleeper hits of 2010. Now, Arc Systems has deployed `Continuum Shift,' half way between an sequel and a revision (Similar to Super Street Fighter IV) the game packs in tons of new modes, characters and a...

By: Rhiannon Metcalf, on December 15, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Blazblue continuum shift is the sequel to clamitiy trigger. This game is fun and the graphics could have never looked better. Here is my pros and cons of the game

    Pros
    + 2 new characters
    + Gripping storyline
+ English and Japanese voices that make the game successful

    Cons
    - No DLC characters on the game only online
    - Combat and combos are slow
    - anime cut scenes are different of that in calamity trigger

    but overall I recommend this...

5 Star Rating A fighter for the truly hardcore.
    By: Omen27, on April 26, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"First off, I'll go through the contents of the Limited edition itself, in case there is any confusion.
It contains the game (obviously) a gorgeous art book containing character & location artwork. Finally, if you need proof of how hardcore this game is, the limited edition contains a 2-hour DVD containing fighting tutorials. Yeah... hardcore.

    So, onto the games modes.
There is the usual arcade mode where you fight through 10 computer controlled opponents. If you have 2...

4 Star Rating Top Fighter from Arc System Works
By: Kleckerei, on April 13, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The colours of the characters and backgrounds are great. The detail is stunning. Online play is a dream. But obviously best to get yourself sorted with a favourite character first (and build up some moves, which is pretty easy). Mine is Hakumen, though it is most fun playing Taokaka with all her bad taste taunts.

Once you get up and running the fighting is as hard as you want it to be. Thankfully there is a Beginner setting for learners like me. Though after only a short time you...

5 Star Rating 2D Fighting is back with kicking and a show of leg
By: Kleckerei, on April 7, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I've been waiting for BlazBlue for so long now I can't remember! However the wait was well worthwhile. It's probably one of the most fun fighting games I've ever bought. If you know what I mean by "fun". Firstly the controls are very easy to manage and there's not too many choices you have to make before you can get on with things. And once you do you won't look back. Like any fighting game you've got to get beyond the button mashing if you want to experience the full range of moves available...
