The Best Boardgame Ever? By: Veers, on December 20, 2010 Pros: Cons: "The coin is spinning. You are experiencing butterflies in your stomach. The wait is unnerving. You stare at the message on the screen: "Looking for Opponent." Who will it be? More importantly, *what* will they be? How experienced will they be? The server is supposed to match you with an opponent of the same caliber, but if this is not your first game, you know it doesn't always work out that way. Suddenly, the message changes: "Connecting..." Here we go! Blood Bowl, in this... |

True Tribute to game at last for fans By: Archer, on November 6, 2010 Pros: Cons: "This game finally has all the things we wanted as a fan of the board game, namely all the teams, all the rules, extras, and skills. Commentary has been improved somewhat with extra lines of dialogue, and stadiums no longer have an empty feel to them with fans being visible. As a traditional player, I have only touched the blitz mode a little bit, favouring the original games rules, which can get very one-sided against the AI either for or against you, which has a pretty unbalanced... |

Not as good as Chaos League By: Koncorde, on July 29, 2010 Pros: Cons: "I purchased the game because I loved the idea of Blood bowl, and have been a determined Games Workship gamer for many years. When I found out that the makers of Chaos League (a game I enjoyed) were actively pursuing making a fully licensed version of the game they originally ripped off I held out high hopes. This game unfotunately is a step backwards. From the unattractive screens and menu system, to the spectacularly uninteresting game animations, poor sound, atrocious commentary (the... |

Blood Bowl it is, Amazing (sadly) it is not. By: Mr. Na De Berckem Dunn "RoninWerewolf", on February 23, 2010 Pros: Cons: "Firstly and foremostly, I wish to say that a review of this game should not be likened to the same game on the PC format as its undoubtedly going to be different and should not be a reason to buy or not buy the game. On its own, Blood Bowl XBox 360 is VERY faithful to the board game by Games Workshop, it includes 90% of the races available for those who have played the tabletop version (High Elves, Dark Elves and Undead missing so far, although I hear rumblings that Dark Elves will... |

Great Fun on the DS By: Mr. M. J. Bowyer, on September 29, 2009 Pros: Cons: "Having been a fan of the board game as well as the PC version, I decided to give the DS conversion a try. I'm very glad I did as they have managed to cram the original game onto the dual screen perfectly. The main difference between this and the PC version is the lack of the real time "blitz" mode. Personally, this is no loss as the real time game lacks a lot of the stratagy that made the original boardgame so good. You create your team from the same selection of races and have a... |

Good but not great By: Guillaume Pages, on August 1, 2009 Pros: Cons: "I have been playing blood bowl the tabletop game for years. I managed to get hold of blood bowl game for psp in France (they got them in July) Having not seen the PC version, I cannot compare, but it really feels like the PSP version is a water down version of the PC game. The positive: 1) it is blood bowl. 2) you can play with some of the more famous teams in blood bowl (only in one-off game though) such as the lustria croakers, the lowdown rats, the orcland... |
