5 Star Rating Released in 2009 - Still the best action adventure game in 2014
By: D. Butcher "Mr. D. Butcher", on November 22, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This game. Not many games in 2014 that were originally released in 2009 that still look up to date graphically, but more importantly still advanced when it comes to game mechanics and gameplay.

When you're playing this game, you're experiencing a true work or art. The size of the game is perfection in terms of land to explore as well as giving you enough to feel satisfied by the end of the main story, but making you want a sequel (which there is).

5 Star Rating Batman Arkham Asylum Detail Review
    By: J. P. Doran, on August 1, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Batman Arkham Asylum was named Game of the Year by Xbox 360 World and rated at 95%. It's the winner of 4 awards including the 2010 BAFTAs Game Awards for Best Game and was nominated for 10 other awards.

It has an all-star cast including Mark Hamill (Voice of Joker but more well known for his part in the original star wars films as Luke Skywalker) and Kimberly Brooks (Voice of Oracle/ Gordon's daughter and also the voice of Ashley in Mass Effect 3).

    Batman Arkham Asylum has...

3 Star Rating Let down by small niggles and bugs
By: Mark Howe, on December 10, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Arkham Origins clearly comes from the school of "if it aint broke, don't fix it". Mostly this works in the games favour, but those of you who have played both Asylum and City may feel that this is overly familiar. Little new is added to the game play, with the notable exception of the crime scene mode, which is fun, if a little to led by the nose. The interiors of the last game have sacrificed to give us a larger area of Gotham to play in, however in a niggle for continuity buffs the sections...

1 Star Rating Brilliant game, not ready (yet)
By: Skulkin, on November 14, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I loved this game as with the other two in the series...right up till all my saved files and progress disappeared. Warner Bros have already had to issue a public apology over the various issues and the unfinished state of the game. If you want to buy it I advise waiting till after Christmas when hopefully all issues have been further patched and fixed!

Till then I am afraid I am going to have to down rank the game, I purchased it after the first major patch and have still had this...

By: Gez Errico "gez22", on November 13, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The first two games in this series were probably the most exciting, fun and beautifully crafted games i've had the pleasure to play.
With Rocksteady handing over the reins I had my worries about the direction the game would take. Fortunately WBIE know a good thing when they see at and didn't meddle. But that decision comes with a downside, there is little innovation in this game compared to the previous episodes.

Yes there is a revamped detective mode (which you are mostly a...

3 Star Rating Wait till they release a patch!
By: Michael Naughton, on October 29, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I have never been that bothered about writing a review for a game, I buy it and normally know what I'm in for. With this game it wasn't the case! It has absolute terrible game destroying glitches which for the life of me don't know how it weren't fixed in testing other than they wanted to rush the release of it to get it out in time before Xbox One/PS4. It freezes constantly, where the only thing you can do is reset your Xbox, and it happens (in my case) every hour. Which then after countless...

    5 Star Rating Amazing game!
By: RohanVanSanden "Rohan VS", on August 24, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Batman Arkham city is an awesome addition to the Arkham franchise. It has an incredible story with a set of side missions that are very fun to do. The game has an huge open world that allows you to glide though Arkham city and fight thugs. Also Arkham city carried over the riddler trophies from the last game. Batman also has a wide range of new gadgets that really help you with stealth and combat, unfortunately this game has no multiplayer but makes up for it with an incredible single player...

5 Star Rating BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM
By: Simon Broadley, on August 15, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Up until two years ago, my experience of computer games was limited to playing Asteroids and Pac-Man in pubs and chip shops in the Eighties. Then, with uncharacteristic good fortune, I won an XBOX in a competition. BATMAN ARKHAM ASYLUM was my first purchase and suddenly the world of gaming that I'd scorned for years opened up to me - and what a treasure trove it is. I've bought plenty of other games since, but nothing has come close to the exquisite pleasure of being Batman in this and the...

By: Andrew, on February 5, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is an great game. One of the best I have ever played. It took a little time to get used to the controls, but the work the team put into making it is nothing short of spectacular. It is very detailed and if I have to say something bad about it, I simply cannot. A must have for every DC fan, adventure games fan, hell, every PS3 owner should have a copy of the game. As far as the GOTY edition goes, it gives access to:

===> Catwoman story as it happens
    ===>...

4 Star Rating good but can be annoying
By: Harry, on November 21, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"My mate has spoken highly of Arkham city story so i decided to start off with the first of this game series and this is my first type of this game (i'm a racer by nature) but i actually really enjoyed the game, the story is brilliantly put together, but be aware, on hardest difficulty the scarecrow is just so annoying and frustrating to get past.

I also love the way they used the animated series voice actors (or at least that i know of) like Mark Hamill as the joker, which is just...

5 Star Rating Excellent game but beware of Platinum Editions!!
By: Jamster, on October 8, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is a great game but beware when ordering from here!!

I ordered this game from a third party seller via Amazon but when it arrived it was the Platinum Edition and not the proper GOTY edition as advertised here. The difference is that the Platinum one only has 4 extra maps instead of 6 and doesn't come with 3D glasses. Also the cover design is different and looks really cheap with the yellow & silver. The Joker DLC for PS3 is also no longer available in the UK.

    I...

5 Star Rating The Dark Knight rises!
By: Andrew Driscoll, on October 31, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I was a massive fan of the first Arkham game, Arkham Asylum, this caused me to have almost crippling anticipation that this would be a bigger and better version. Disappointed? I think not!

The story is set a short while after Arkham Asylum (the plot gap can be bridged with the Batman: Arkham City comic book series) where the badly damaged Asylum has had to be shut down, and a new Prison facility has been formed by sectioning off a large area of Gotham City and putting all the inmates...

5 Star Rating Holy Five Star Review Batman !
By: Neil Lennon, on May 2, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This one is a bit of a no-brainer. If you like computer games and you like Batman then you will love this Batman computer game. This is by far and away the best Batman game to be released on any gaming system. In fact it is a contender for best game of any genre, which is a claim I do not make lightly.

Admittedly I am a bit biased in that I love Batman. Not necessarily the camp version that has developed over the years but the original dark gothic treatment that has been revived in...

    5 Star Rating Fantastic
By: T. Humphrey "icutoffmyear", on August 20, 2010
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Batman: Arkham Asylum escaped me pre-release and even when it hit the shops I didn't actually pick it up for a couple of months. Despite the reviews my comic/movie/video game cynicism continued to warn me against. I eventually found if for under a tenner - it's worth this three times over.

Arkham Asylum is one of the best games I've ever played - it ranks up there with Deus Ex, Half Life and the Total War series. It's an absolute masterpiece.

    Firstly, the GAME PLAY; The...

5 Star Rating A truly great game
By: Lominia, on September 23, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

    "Graphics, atmosphere, presentation..all superb

I play with the keyboard & mouse & and the controls are pretty user friendly.

Voice acting is just superb, drafting in three people from Batman: The Animated Series, Mark Hamill (Joker), Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Arleen Sorkin (Harley Quinn).
I have to say that Mark Hamills' Joker really does stand out. Money has not been spared on any aspect on this game. It really deserves the good reviews & ratings from the various...

4 Star Rating Lives up to the hype
By: S. Behrens "Shaun", on September 8, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

""I set a trap, and you sprung it gloriously"...And with these words, spoken by a maniacal (and superbly voiced) Joker, begins one of the first ever superhero videogames that actually FEELS like a superhero game.

I won't go too much into the storyline; much of that is everywhere on the internet, and also in these Amazon reader reviews. Rather, I will talk about the many things the game does right, and also the one or two small things it doesn't quite nail.

    First and...

5 Star Rating The first great Super Hero game
    By: J. T. Houlston-hope, on September 2, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Batman-Arkham Asylum is a pretty special game. It came out of the gates with the sort of demo that sprung from the shadows, grabbed me suddenly around the waist, shoved a bat mask onto my face before I knew what was happening and firmly insisted in a gruff voice on being played through at least 25 times, or else. So I did. And it was good. Very, very good. By the time I'd played it through only 10 times I had already fetched my childhood bat cape from the attic, dusted off my Michael Keaton/Kim...

5 Star Rating What a great game....
    By: Mrs. N. J. Jenner, on August 29, 2009
    Pros:
    Cons:

"OK so I got this game yesterday and spent till the early hours this morning playing it. I will be honest I was slightly sceptical when purchasing this title on the sole basis that it is a computer game based on a comic book character (Which never usually works), however this one game could have made up for all of the previous comic book character games shortfalls.
The main part of the game focuses on one particular story, the Joker taking over Arkham asylm, however as you progress...
