Not Bayonetta, not Metal Gear Solid By: Kennedy, on April 8, 2014 Pros: Cons: "This is a pure action arcade game. It's not a metal gear game. The guys who made this also made Bayonetta, which is flat out the greatest action game ever made. MGRR is a score attack/point attack arcade game, in which you have ranked battles and basically just cut things up as fast and as elegantly as possible. It's not in the same class as Bayonetta though. It's very colourful and extremely Japanese (full of cyborgs, swords, and LOTS of body fluids), but I found it too... |

Rise as the Ripper By: Single Player Gamer, on March 2, 2014 Pros: Cons: "S T O R Y Set after the events of Metal Gear Solid 4, you step into the cyborg body of Raiden a.k.a. Jack the Ripper. Private military companies (PMCs) are now popping up everywhere, fuelling the war economy at an alarming rate. At the heart of this is the faction known as Desperados, escalating technological warfare into criminal territory. Allied with a peacekeeping unit, Raiden seeks out the Desperados in an attempt to halt their twisted plans for the future of terrorist warfare... |

MGS: Rising By: A. Gill, on January 12, 2014 Pros: Cons: "It's a fun game with really solid combat, though the story is a bit silly you can forgive the game because all it wants to do is cut anything it can into little pieces. There is now a PC release but its textures are not up to scratch given the power of a modern-day computer as consoles use very old technology in computer terms. Nonetheless I would recommend that you get the PC release and then play with a controller as it would provide a better experience (in my view)... |

Another Great action game from Platinum Games! By: Richard Jones, on March 8, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Okay, firstly, there are probably going to be a lot of die hard traditional MGS fans looking or playing this game and thinking, "This isn't MGS, its nothing like MGS, its rubbish!" And yes, if you compare the game play to the traditional direction of the MGS series, it is NOTHING like it. BUT, and its a big but... putting aside any MGS preconceptions, this is a fantastic action game, and there can be no argument about that. True, its on the short side, but only in the same... |

Sword slashing action fest! 9/10 By: Richard Mills, on March 8, 2013 Pros: Cons: "Firstly , if you're looking for a Metal Gear Solid game, this isn't it. Platinum games do it again with their amazing brand of over the top action and 3rd person combat. Play as Raiden, the cyborg ninja, slice enemies and objects into 100's of pieces, a easy to learn, hard to master combat system, and one of the best end boss fights i've seen in a long time. This is NOT a stealth tactics game, this is a pure action thriller. Definitely worth buying if only for the fact you can slice anything... |

Platinum Games delivers again By: M. MCCARTNEY, on March 6, 2013 Pros: Cons: "I was skeptical of this game ever since the trailer was shown at E3, but after completing it my doubts have diminished. Konami was willing to take a risk with this game unlike many big publishers that too often release many of the same genre titles again and again each year, but never any original experiences. This fast paced title is a welcome change. There are a lot of hidden tasks throughout the game such as finding the VR missions, men hiding in boxes, protecting the... |

Awesome. By: Alex, on March 3, 2013 Pros: Cons: "If you're looking at the reviews you're probably wondering if this game is worth buying, so I'll be straightforward: This is a MUST BUY if: You like cyborgs/cybernetics You like the ninja gaiden series You are a fan of Kojima You like swords You like cutting things You find Raiden cool Don't buy if: You expect this to be like the previous metal gear games. It's not. (this is neither good nor bad) It's entirely different in every... |

Snaaaaaaaaaaake! By: elliott "ell1", on December 18, 2012 Pros: Cons: "One of the best games ever but the 25th anniversary edition is exactly the same as the original version if you've downloaded the updates! |
