    5 Star Rating Great
By: Jack Ingram, on November 15, 2018
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Was a big fan of these games growing up on PS2 and now I can play them on the go and in bed is a dream come true. It must be the 3rd time I've owned these titles originally on PS2 then on Xbox 360 and now on PS Vita. Exactly the same as the original just a slight downgrade on the graphics so it can run on the smaller hardware.

5 Star Rating Get it or you will regret it. The best in the series by far.

By: Rory Antonsson, on August 29, 2018
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I havent tried playing through them on the vita. but it seems to start at least.

I have playes these games many times on ps2 and tried em on ps4 so i cant judge this version of the games.

Kinda disappointed they arent in 60fps cause mgs2 was on ps2. Technically not HD either according to digital foundry

2 Star Rating Games missing/ unattainable from this ‘legacy collection.’
By: Amazon Customer, on August 18, 2018
    Pros:
    Cons:

"The DLC (i.e. voucher codes for retrieving MGS1 and VR Missions) does not work. PSN state that the code is invalid or expired. I know that this collection is old now, but it is not a complete legacy collection of two of the games are missing. It would be appreciated if I could be supplied with an active voucher code for the missing games.

"Controls are a minor pain but overall two very good ports of two damn fine games. shame peace walker isn't there but it can be picked up on the PSN store for not a lot. Also comes with MG1 and 2 (why isn't that advertised?), which I'd never played before.

    4 Star Rating Excellent
By: Juan Camilo Garcia Lozano, on August 26, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I don't really have much to say about this collection, if you like Metal Gear Solid and like me played them a long time ago and you want to refresh your memory get this game and if you have never played MGS then get it as well because it won't be a disspointing experience even if you don't like the type of game.
You will spend between 8~9 hours on MGS2 and 10~12 on MGS3 more less so yeah..... buy it!

I only gave this title 4 stars because I don't understand how the HD...

4 Star Rating Great games, great port, but something is missing....
By: TRANSnational, on April 16, 2014
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I won't go into detailed reviews of the two games here. They are two of the most highly rated games of their era, and whilst they feel clunky now, it's damn fun to play them either again, or for the first time. They're both well worth playing on any system.

As for playing them on the Vita itself they are excellent. Smooth as silk, looking a lot better than the PS2 originals with their nice HD make over, an the touch controls are perfect for weapon selection. Be warned that whilst the...

If you like Snake and his mission you can't lost this item.

4 Star Rating Great game but shame about the missing ones
By: seb, on May 27, 2013
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I had an absolute blast playing through MGS2 and MGS3 but it's just a shame that Peace Walker wasn't included. I have Peace Walker on my PSP but it would've been nice to play through once again with both analogue sticks.

The game uses the main touch screen to select between weapons and items on the drop down menus which was good. However, the game didn't make much use (if any) of the rear touch pad. Kinda makes me wonder if there are going to be many games that even bother to use...

    5 Star Rating Fantastic
By: Jay, on September 18, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"I rented this game from lovefilm and it took me a LONG time to return it. I had around 17 hours game play on MGS2. And around 18 and a half on MGS3. My first playthroughs on both games.

The graphics look superb on the vita, really impressive. Stories of both games is excellent and very very good. 2 of the best games i have played. I had played MGS4 on the ps3 as my first metal gear game, and i want to play more and more. It's a great series and i found myself on the metal gear wiki...

    5 Star Rating Polished Classics
By: Astro, on February 18, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"There is a feeling that you get when playing a Metal Gear Solid game that you get with no other franchise. The characters, the little details, the story, and level design are all part of the magic that makes them timeless and as good now as they ever were.

Here you get three of them for less than £30, which is almost the bargain of the century. Each one will give you many hours of entertainment and repeated playthroughs. And although it's missing MGS 1 and 4, it still has three...

5 Star Rating PS2 and PSP era MGS in glorious HD.
By: Bertie Buggerington, on February 3, 2012
    Pros:
    Cons:

"This is something I've been waiting a long, long time for. Honestly, the delay for the UK version was like a knife twisting in my gut. The PS2 era was my era for gaming, so the series of 'HD Collections' of PS2 era games for the PS3, updated to be played in HD with higher frame rates, have been a godsend for me.

In this HD Collection, we get Metal Gear Solid 2, 3 and, for the first time on a 'big' console, MGS Peace Walker - a PSP title updated for the big screen. Some fans have...

    5 Star Rating Brilliant
By: DanNoori, on December 13, 2011
    Pros:
    Cons:

"Utterly brilliant game, works perfect despite being the USA version of the game, being used on a UK ps3. Also, as this game release date has been delayed in the UK to February, I am much relived I could get this now. The game itself is three of the best games on their time in one package. Bit disappointing a few features from the original mgs3 substance and mgs2 substance didn't make it on to this package, nor did they tweak the game which could have really have improved it. E.g. controls are...
